Care for a game of American Football?

Yay! I just got back from a football game! I know most of you don't know how football is played, so you are going to think "booring~!"

Btw, by football, I really mean American football. NOT the soccer we Malaysians play or watch.

The game was between UCLA and OSU (Oregon State University)

It was my first time to go to a game so I was really excited - nevermind that I don't really know the in and outs of the game - I was just so happy to see a real live football game! And man, it was so crowded with football fans...there were like 83,000 people who showed up tonight!

83,000! For a local college football game! So supportive! (although...it didn't last long..will explain about it later)

When me and Hana first arrived, we felt so lost okay~! Well, not lost, but we totally stood out. Why? Cuz everyone wore a UCLA Bruins T-shirt. Everyone was blue and I was wearing brown. =_="

What really ticked me off at the beginning was, the guy at the gate forbade us from bringing our bottle of water into the Rose Bowl (the stadium).

He was like, "Sorry girls, you can't bring this in. You gotta throw it away *points to trash can next to us* or else put it back into your car."

Wth? Throw my expensive water bottle in the trash? You crazy? We didn't have a car cuz someone dropped us off. So pissed...then Hannah was forced to pour out all that water into the huge bin. Hmph~ and because of that we had to buy their freakin' coke for like $4.00 okay! Who on earth pays $4.00 for a cup of coke?! Dummies like us obviously. Sien. Hate them liaw. And since we didn't have lunch before we left, we bought a hot dog for $4.00 too. -_-" those guys are really having a great time sucking up our money. As if the tickets weren't expensive enough...

Here are pictures of the Rose Bowl! It's huge!

The UCLA marching band forming the letters UCLA. It's taken in the wrong direction though.

My ticket.

Plus, plus, there were jet planes flying overhead at the start of the game!

K, that's not the actual planes but I didn't have enough time to take pics of it. I wasn't even expecting it. Quite disappointed cuz there were no color streams! =(

Oh my goodness, the crowd was so noisy I could feel my ears going deafer which each passing second. The guy beside me kept screaming, "GO DEFENSE! GO DEFENSE!" at the top of his lungs. Hello~! You're like at the very top seat of the stadium, what makes you think those football players can hear you anyway?? I bet your voice didn't even make it past the 5th row in front of us. Why? Cuz there is another guy 7 rows in front who was yelling and waving his arms all night and I couldn't hear him. What makes you think that he can hear you, let alone the football players?

I thought I was the only one suffering from siaw ding-dong football fans' shouts, but Hana complained that the guy beside her was also shouting like mad. My goodness, did you know?! The guys beside her had this SUPER HUGE belly! Like, he was 12 months pregnant or something! I bet that even if I stuffed three whole chickens under my shirt, it'd still be smaller than his. Serious! I don't have a picture of him to prove to you, sorry. I mean, what was I suppose to do? Say, "Excuse me sir, may I take a picture of you belly?" wth...and if I just took it secretly, who knows what he'd do if he caught me snapping photos of his belly...the guy has a big belly..not fun to mess with okay. Although, he was way nicer than I thought he was. He's even better than the guy next to me..who I'd like to call, the "go-defense-guy".

Everyone was so hyped up about UCLA and saying they'd win and all that...and guess what? UCLA lost. LOST. LOST!

Lost by a 6 - 34 score.

-_-" So much for the cheering. So much for tolerating the go-defense-guy's shouts~

So lame okay! Throughout the game, UCLA only scored 6 points while OSU had like 4 touchdowns! 4! UCLA, 0 touchdowns.

I felt kind of bad for OSU at first cuz when UCLA was running out to the field, they got loud shouts from the spectators but OSU got loud "boos". So mean okay! Why these spectators no good sportsmanship one? And because of that, I secretly hoped they'd win. Of course, I didn't say anything, cuz if I did, those 80,000 UCLA fans would probably clobber me.

But LOL! When OSU made the 3rd touchdown (24 points) the UCLA supporters started to leave! By the fourth touchdown (34 points)...well, let the picture speak for itself.

Before...

After...

LoL! So much for support...

Anyway! There's another big game coming up on Dec. 6! UCLA vs. USC! I support USC! (cuz I like the color red, and their uniforms are red, so USC shall have my support, "Go Red!") I wanna go~~but I think the tickets are out. =( How how? Can't watch it on TV either cuz we just canceled our cable TV. Depressed.

Last but not least, who are you to complain that my blog post abt football is boring?! Be glad that I bothered updating. *huffs*
