Really. I'm not kidding.
NO! I'm not some passerby on some Soap Opera okay! Real TV show! (boring one though...)
K, if you're wondering how I got on the show, it's cuz I am part of this program that works at training people to do public speaking. It's really cool cuz you get to meet really fun and smart people there (*ahem* like me~) and make friends with them. ^_^
Today's show was just about introduction to the program and introducing ourselves to the public. We were told to have 3 minutes to introduce ourselves but due to the fact that we were running late, the producer threw 7 of us on the show rather than the regular 4-5 people. So, we ended up only having 2 minutes to talk. Yay! (not~)
I wasn't actually nervous, well, I'd rate myself a 3 on the nervous factor scale of 10 with 1 being Not nervous at all and 10 being super nervous. So, I was totally doing well, and speaking well..when suddenly the person kept pointing here and there telling me to look into different cameras! Oh my goodness! I was totally fine okay! Then they came and kao cha me and when I was so busy switching cameras, I totally forgot my lines and went...um...FOR LIKE THE LONGEST TIME EVER! Not only that, the people keep pressuring you either to speak longer or hurry up and swallow your speech back down by reminding you the time you have left. Like they'd be holding up signs saying 1 minute or blablabla. So pressuring okay! Totally messed up. Ahhh! Mempersiasoikan *hides face* Even my guy friend, he was watching me and he said, "You started out strong, then...u got lost halfway." Oh man! so mad. *stabs stabs*
I know that I totally don't wanna be an actress or singer liaw...so mahuan. Need talent to switch cameras and talk and act at the same time.
Like, wth? So not used to it okay. I mean, instead of answering the person who's interviewing you, you answer a camera. Wth, and different cameras at that. :S Oh my gosh, I really really can't be an actress or singer lor! (not that I want to, but now I know it's totally out of my list of things I could possibly do) So hard, so hard okay.
I hope nobody watches the show. Actually, I don't think anyone watches the show. I mean, it's kinda..dull..for me. I wouldn't even watch it if I weren't on it. XD Sides, don't think I can watch it cuz it's on Cable TV! I don't have Cable TV! My dad just canceled it. So much for watching myself on TV.
I said something about me being new to the country and having troubles trying to get used to the schools and all that...then I totally blanked out after 1 minute and 30 seconds. -_-" How did i keep track of the time? Remember the intimidating old lady with the 1 minute, 2 minute sign thing? Yeah, SHE kept track of my time with this super strict expression. Oh and, like, after the show, this black guy came up to me and said, "You said you came in February? Wow, you speak really, really good English!" Apparently, he's praising my practiced angmoh accent. XD
But anyway, good experience. If I do find a clip of it, I'll show you. Soo...hope I can find it *crosses fingers*
