Ranting about Rain

Oh my goshhhh, can this day get any worse? (Okay, I know it can but let me rant.)

I wanted to go on a quick walk/run during lunch to get my steps in, but I couldn't get Spotify to work because I deactivated my Facebook account. Funny thing is, on my computer it still works, but on my phone it doesn't!

I tried all kinds of ways to get around it, but in the end it forced me to reactivate my Facebook account, which is something I did NOT want to. Yeah, I know I'm making a big deal out of this, but I *really* don't want to deal with stupid Facebook and getting tagged and all that. 22 notifications already just from signing in (no tags because you can't tag me if I'm not active), can you imagine how much worse it'd be with all the tags? I figured there HAD to be a way to use Spotify and my playlists without having to reactive my Facebook, but no luck unless I want to create a fake Facebook account and follow my "real" Facebook accounts' playlists or recreate all the playlists. That's way too much work.

The whole ordeal took ONE HOUR. Yes, that's a long time considering I can do a lot of things in that time frame, for example, complete a 3 mile run and more! And when I finally got it to work and walked out the door, THE RAIN JUST HAD TO START, and as I was fuming about the weather, my Spotify decided to also stop working again at that instant. Choke blood so hard can?

So now I have no Spotify, no runs in, and 1+ hour wasted.

AND WHAT IS UP WITH THE RAIN? Last I checked California is supposed to be a dessert so why did it decide to have daily storm parties for weeks on end?!

Yeah, yeah, I know I'm being ungrateful given that we've just been through one of the worst droughts in a while, but so frustrating can? If it doesn't rain for a while, we go into severe drought, and then when it rains just a little too much, we get flooded and now the dam's spillway is breaking?! So damn dao mei. That's the thing about California that boggles my mind. We always complain about how little water we get during the year(s), and then when the rain hits for just a little longer than you'd expect, cities, roads, everything...gets flooded and we have to release the waters into the rivers or whatnot. And then people can't get to work or tons of accidents happen because the roads are way too slippery or pooled up, as if they're not made to accommodate rain. You'd think that we'd learn to take more precautionary measures for longer periods of rainfall? Like so little water you cannot handle also what do you want really?!

Okay, rant end. I'm going to get back to work. I apologize in advance for any of the flawed arguments (eh, not really) but it's a rant, so don't expect me to read up on California's water conservation systems and what not. Just ranting from a regular ignorant resident's perspective. Also, don't mind the English. When I get mad, the Manglish in me surfaces. Who has time to rant in perfect, foreign English anyway? Ha.
